Capital Electric Cooperative (CEC) has an opening for a Work Order Coordinator within the Engineering Services department. The Work Order Coordinator position is a key member of the Engineering Services team. The duties and responsibilities for this position will vary based on qualifications and experience of the applicant. Core duties include setup, tracking, and closeout of work order construction projects, as well as the coordination of new service construction documentation. This position works closely with the accounting personnel to ensure accurate cost accounting for all work orders and plant records according to current Rural Utility Services (RUS) regulations and procedures.
Applicants interested in the Work Order Coordinator position must have a high school diploma or GED. An associate degree in accounting or construction management is preferred. Two years of utility or closely related experience is preferred. Applicants must be proficient with Microsoft Office products. Preferred qualifications include hands-on knowledge of NISC software products. The successful applicant must also display strong oral and written communication skills, possess a good attitude and work ethic, as well as a commitment to excellent customer service.
