Provides methodologies and techniques in planning and design of the Cooperative’s electrical system; ensuring that power is provided in a safe, efficient and economical manner, and performing all engineering related functions as required.

Evaluate and analyze new load requests
Substation Design, operation and maintenance
NESC (National Electric Safety Code)
Analysis of system operation data
System Compliance
Relay/Metering design and maintenance
Construction Work Plan
Project management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of engineering practices and principles.
Knowledge of outside plant operations
Knowledge of personal computers and various software packages.
Knowledge of SCADA.
Skill in identifying problems, alternatives and solutions.
Skill in planning and organizing.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited College or University with a Power emphasis. Previous training in design and maintenance of utility substations and power lines preferred.

San Augustine, Nacogdoches, Shelby, Newton, Panola, Jasper, Sabine, and Rusk Counties.
