Over the past three years we grew from 16 to 25 member cooperatives, secured a $78.9 million USDA grant to jumpstart rural renewables, and launched a diversified resource development program spanning a natural gas plant, geothermal, and solar + battery projects.
The Director of Strategy & Project Management will support the team in establishing an enterprise PMO, weaving together live dashboards and data sets that guide executive decisions, and keeping high profile initiatives on time, on budget, and in compliance. You will be the connective tissue between Member Relations, Power Supply, Finance, and external partners—ensuring every commitment to our Board and members is met with precision, transparency, and data driven insight.
This position allows for hybrid work.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Project Management
Own PNGC’s project management framework, templates, and stage gate reviews.
Maintain the integrated master schedule covering gas plant development, Solar + battery grant milestones, geothermal negotiations, Tier?2 power elections, WRAP readiness, and transmission.
Drive cross functional work plans with clear owners, milestones, KPIs, and risk mitigations; escalate roadblocks early.
Work with staff to develop and publish the monthly Board Calendar of recurring agenda items, regulatory filings, and risk committee topics.
Member & Customer Project Support
Support the team to monitor and track member “asks,” ensuring transparent status updates and resource allocation.
Coordinate with the Member Relations team to align customer projects with strategic priorities and communicate schedule or budget impacts.
Power Supply & REC Management
Partner with the team to track Renewable Energy Credit (REC) generation, transfers, and settlements; reconcile data with counterparties and BPA.
Assist in contract administration and power procurement timelines.
In collaboration with Power Supply staff, monitor on-going member activities and develop monthly Board reports that showcase the value-added work that PNGC staff conducts on behalf of its members.
Continuous Improvement & Culture
Mentor all staff on best practice PM discipline across departments.
Champion data governance, version control, and document control in SharePoint and Teams.

Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field (Master’s or MBA a plus).
8+years leading complex, multi stakeholder projects; at least 3 in the energy, utility, or infrastructure sector.
Verifiable Project Management experience with PMP, PgMP, or comparable certification strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency with MS Project (or Primavera), Power BI/Tableau, Excel (Power Query/DAX), SharePoint, and Smartsheet; familiarity with REC tracking systems a plus.
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities; thrives on hitting deadlines.
Clear, concise communicator—equally comfortable briefing executives, writing Board memos, and translating technical data for non experts.
Analytical rigor: able to build models that withstand Board scrutiny.
Collaborative leadership style; adept at influencing without authority across engineering, finance, legal, and operations teams.
