We currently have an opening for a Data Analyst in our IT department. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Maintains a safe working environment by adhering to policies, procedures, and regulations.
Gathers data from various sources and ensures its accuracy and integrity.
Analyzes complex data sets and draws meaningful conclusions to support Boone Electric’s business decisions.
Utilizes third-party utility financial, customer information systems, engineering, mapping, and metering software to analyze data, create reports, and build visual exhibits for Boone Electric personnel.
Cleans and preprocesses data, ensuring its accuracy and reliability.
Utilize statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.
Works closely with cross-functional departments to understand their data needs and provide insights to improve processes and strategies.
Collaborates with all departments to ensure data systems are robust and optimized for performance.
Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop reports and dashboards to monitor and communicate business performance.
Tackles complex business challenges using data-driven approaches and is prepared to defend their opinion on recommendations.
Assist with integrating AI into business processes.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities required for this position:
Must possess a bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Four years of service preferred but not required with a utility or similar business that uses similar software platforms.
Must be able to organize work to meet deadlines independently with little supervision.
Requires a high degree of accuracy with attention to detail
Strong SQL knowledge for database management and querying.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information.
