Position Summary The Billing & Customer Service Representative supports the Cooperative’s billing, payment processing, and member service functions. This role serves as a front-line point of contact for members, ensuring accurate account records, timely billing, and professional, friendly service.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, maintain, and update member and service accounts in the billing system
Process billing changes, payments, budget billing, and payment arrangements
Research and resolve member billing questions and discrepancies
Receive and post payments from all channels and balance daily receipts
Support collections activities, including notices and payment arrangements
Serve as receptionist and telephone support, greeting and assisting members
Maintain accurate electronic and paper records
Prepare routine reports and provide general administrative support
Work collaboratively with staff to deliver excellent member service
Attend the Annual Meeting and assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous billing, office administration, or customer service experience preferred
Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to perform basic financial calculations accurately
Proficient with computers and office software
Valid Colorado driver’s license required
Work Environment
In-office position with frequent public interaction
Office setting with sitting, standing, keyboarding, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs)
Subject to random controlled substance and alcohol testing
