The successful candidate may report out of any of our Nucla, Ridgway, or Telluride office locations within our picturesque service territory. As Service Planning Supervisor, you are responsible for leading our service planning team and coordinating utility design projects across our service area. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating planning activities, including maintenance, construction, and system reliability initiatives. This role requires adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, cooperative policies, and fostering a positive work culture.
We're looking for a leader with:
Expertise in electric system design.
Full competency as an electric system Service Planner, including overhead and underground line design and working knowledge of rights-of-way, easements and permitting.
Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and team-building abilities.
Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Understanding of the challenges of serving rural communities.
MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS
This job requires
A High School diploma or equivalent, and advanced coursework, training and experience in utility line design necessary,
Engineering degree with experience in electric system design (preferred),
Must have strong supervision skills, including ability to motivate and develop employees in the section,
Full competency as an electric system Service Planner, including overhead and underground line design and working knowledge of rights-of-way, easements and permitting,
The ability to work without direct supervision.
Initiative, flexibility and interest in new technology and training,
To work collaboratively with other areas of the company to improve efficiencies for the members,
A working knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code and electrical theory,
Effective skills with computers and peripherals (GPS, range finders, pc, etc.) and a strong understanding of staking, CIS and FIS programs as they relate to the staking and work order process,
Excellent organization, and demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills,
To represent the co-op in a progressive, positive, and professional manner in all relationships, both internal and external,
