The Opportunity:
The Design Technician – Power will be essential in drafting, design support, and project documentation functions that contribute to the success of the Engineering & Operations Department.
What you’ll be doing:
Create, maintain, and update technical drawings using CAD software in accordance with company and industry standards.
Collaborate with engineers to ensure design accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
Support project documentation, including assembly of design packages and project files.
Conduct field visits to gather information and verify design conditions.
Maintain drafting and project databases and ensure files are organized and current.
Gather, analyze, and summarize data to support engineering activities.

What we’re looking for:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting & Design, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field. Minimum 3 years of work experience in electrical or other related field may be substituted for a degree.
Knowledge of general engineering principles and their application to design.
Even better if you have (Highly Desired):
2+ years of experience in the utility industry
AutoCAD Experience
Knowledge of SCADA and RTU components
Strong attention to detail
Ability to produce accurate technical drawings, evaluate data and create reports.
