Powder River Energy Corp. (PRECorp), Wyoming’s largest electric distribution cooperative, serving its five northeastern counties with residential and commercial electric service, is currently seeking a Billing and Collections Specialist to be located in our Sundance, Wyoming office.
This position will be instrumental in executing billing and collection activities. Duties will include process billing, including account and meter verification for accuracy, process and balance member payments and perform collection processes per policy. Other marginal duties will include creating and receiving purchase orders and entering and routing invoices for a small, related entity. Occasional traveling to PRECorp offices may be required.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills needed for this position:
Knowledge of service operations as they relate to an electric utility. Must have the ability to become familiar with all PRECorp policies, rules and regulations, procedures and rates. Must have general knowledge of how all other departments relate to treasury.
Must have the ability to work with the public and maintain good member relations.
Must be able to coordinate work and get along with co-workers.
Must have the ability to organize departmental work to meet deadlines.
Must be familiar with standard office equipment and must be familiar with all data entry programs relating to customer service.
Must be able to work with a variety of people individually or in groups under varying circumstances.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to represent to the public a positive image of PRECorp.
Must be able to communicate to Management departmental goals and objectives in an honest and constructive manner.
Must be able to communicate to Management issues or challenges in process efficiencies.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Education and Experience:
Associates degree in Business Administration or related field preferred and three to five years’ experience in member relations.
Five years’ experience or more in billing and member service as they relate to any electric utility may be considered in lieu of a degree.
