Position Summary The Substation Technician is responsible for the inspection, operation, construction and maintenance of the Cooperative’s substations, and electrical line apparatus. Qualifications Two years of work experience with high-voltage substations Successful completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program IBEW Substation Journeyman status required before hire date Union membership is required within 30 days after hire date as a condition of continued employment High school diploma or equivalent Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) and associated Medical Examiner’s Certification
