Purpose of Position The Temporary Pre-Apprentice Groundman classification is designed to be a feeder pool for the apprentice lineman selection process. The work is designed to assist line crew members by working on the ground, handing tools and heavy materials to workers. To dig holes and pad ditches and to perform other similar work in connection with the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground power lines.
