We’re looking for a Communications Coordinator who can bring clarity to complex topics, tell meaningful stories, and help keep our team aligned and informed.

What You’ll Do
You’ll play a key role in shaping how we communicate with our members, employees, and community.
Content Development & Publications
Write, edit, and design member newsletters and internal communications
Manage editorial calendars and coordinate content production
Oversee print and digital distribution, including email campaigns
Internal Communications & Engagement
Support employee communications, leadership messaging, and internal campaigns
Assist with crisis and storm communications
Help keep employees informed, engaged, and connected
Community & Outreach Communications
Support messaging for community programs, scholarships, and youth initiatives
Assist with event promotion and storytelling before, during, and after events
Digital & Website Content
Maintain and update website content
Support podcast production and digital storytelling efforts
Track and report communication effectiveness
Design & Social Media
Create graphics and support social media content
Assist with scheduling, engagement, and monitoring
Team & Department Support
Help coordinate projects, reports, and planning efforts
Provide input on communication strategies and initiatives
What You Bring
3–5 years of experience in communications, PR, or content development
Strong writing and storytelling skills across multiple audiences
Experience with newsletter production and content coordination
Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
Working knowledge of website content management (WordPress preferred)
Strong organizational and project management skills
A collaborative mindset with a willingness to jump in where needed

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
3–5 years of experience in communications, content production, public relations, marketing, or digital content support
Experience in an electric cooperative, utility, or nonprofit preferred
Demonstrated success supporting newsletter production, internal communications, digital content updates, social media, and event-related communications
Requires talking, hearing, standing for sustained periods of time, and walking.
Required to have close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribe; read and edit extensively; and view a computer terminal.
