Morgan County Rural Electric Association (MCREA) is hiring a Warehouse Intern for a temporary summer position. This role is designed for high school students or recent graduates interested in gaining real-world experience in warehouse operations, logistics, and the electric utility industry.

Position Overview
The Warehouse Intern supports daily warehouse and yard operations while learning about materials management, organization, and safety practices. This is a short-term, temporary role for the summer months only.
What You’ll Do
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and yard
Receive, organize, label, and stock materials, tools, and supplies
Help inspect incoming shipments under supervision
Support inventory counts and material organization projects
Stage materials for field crews as directed
Perform general housekeeping (sweeping, organizing shelves, yard cleanup)
Follow all safety procedures and workplace guidelines
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For
Current high school student or recent graduate
Interest in hands-on work, trades, logistics, or operations
Ability to follow instructions and work well with a team
Dependable, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
Basic computer familiarity is a plus (not required)
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift regularly
Lift up to 40–50 lbs. (with assistance when needed)
Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
